FEP Polyimide

FEP Polyimide Tapes

"Teflonated" Polyimide is coated on one or two sided with FEP, the melt processable version of PTFE. This product is designed as electrical insulating material for seamless wrap applications in motors and transformers with continuous operation temperature ≥180°C

Being exposed to ambient temperatures of 360°C for 30seconds, the FEP resin melts and glues to neighboring surfaces. In wrap application the interconnecting of overlapping sections results in a seamless insulation barrier with the high thermal resistance, anti-radiation and excellent dielectrical properties of the Polyimide film.

The film is semi-translucent and has a yellow colour. The coating with FEP is smooth and not sticky.
